Coming This Spring

The economy may have slumped over further then a drunk man on Bourbon Street and a few eco designers may have closed their doors due to the financial strain, but many organic designers are still creating their spring and fall 09 collections! Designers such as Andrea from Gaia Conceptions makes each item to your order, specifically to your personal measurements - something which cuts out the manufacturing process that has forced many clothing companies to close shop. Gaia Conceptions will be bringing a fabulous range of organic cotton & hemp dresses, skirts, & tops in new colorful low impact dyes plus she will soon showcase her natural dyes she's been working on in her secret lab. :) There will also be a sensual new spring collection from Meadow that includes some of the best eco bikinis I have ever seen plus other organic breezy garments that capture the essence of warm summer days (see pic above!)

Toots Uses A Reusable Shopping Bag

My kitty Toots really enjoys this lightweight organic cotton reusable shopper sent to me by designer Meadow. :) I cut a little hole for her to peek out of, since I knew I could sew it back together later... that is if she doesn't want to travel this way everyday. She loved it and purrrred happily in her faux womb.
( Don't mind me being in pajamas/long johns ... it's snowing today and I didn't think I needed to get dressed.) Isn't Toots the cutest !??!

Are you ready for Fall? I think with the summer heat turned up high I am totally in the mood to dream of changing leaves, cool breezes, crisp air, and a new period of wintry hibernation. Believe it or not but people have started shopping for Fall items a few weeks ago, so I am not alone in my dreamy state of mind! Some of my favorite Fall/Winter items coming to The Oko Box are by designer Meadow, not only are they eco chic but they include those basics you scour the Internet for and never seem to find- those organic duds that you can wear to parties, work and out to dinner. Sophisticated designs like the outfit pictured here are Meadow's Fall/Winter signature style -the high waist pants, bow top and hemp suspenders are totally smokin' ... I mean, professional.
